ELISE HILL is a silent assassin. But don’t let the humbleness of the 5’7 PG mislead you. Hill is a sophomore at Holland Hall looking to win a state championship.
Says Hill, “My personal goal this year is to extend my shooting range and become an offensive threat.”
Her poise and ability to control the ball under pressure makes her an elite guard. Hill’s game is equally balanced: flash, grace, and confidence.
The rhythm of her game is captivating. Her ability to maneuver through any defense thrown her way is impressive. Hill’s basketball IQ allows her to breakdown the defense and create offense for herself or get her teammates involved.
“As a point guard, I’m an extension of the coach. It’s my job to regulate the game or be a scorer, said Hill.
Hill is a student of the game. She has more heart than ego. Her love for the game started at a young age. When she was younger, Hill spent a lot of time in the gym with her older brother.
Says Hill, “A lot of my confidence came from watching my older brother and mirroring his moves.”
These days she’s in the gym training with Toree Thompson. Thompson is one of the most decorated basketball players in Broken Arrow’s history.
“It’s been great working with her. Elise is a quick guard that can score from all three layers. She’s coachable and has a good attitude,” said Thompson.
Hill is unapologetically competitive. Says Hill, “I just like aggressive, fundamentally sound basketball.”
