AALIYAH MILLER is going to be a special player. On a Sunday afternoon, we stopped by the gym to watch some hoops and was immediately impressed with Miller’s skill level for a sixth-grader.
A few years ago, she walked away from gymnastics and stepped on the hardwood. Her love for the game began when her father signed her up to play in a church league.
Says Miller, “I learned how to play the game from my dad. He inspires me to never give up.”
Like many other young girls that hoop, she aspires to play college ball. While Miller still has a long way to go, she’s on the right path.
Miller is the type of player you watch to see how her journey unfolds. Her confidence on the court is spectacular. She plays with sauce and swag. There’s still goosebumps thinking about how passionate she is.
Miller aspires to make people happy when they watch her play. “I want to be the best. When I’m on the court, I don’t have to think about it I just play,” said Miller.
She knows that she’s special. Says Miller, ” I’m not a regular girl, I like to play hard and I love playing basketball. I want to play better than how people think girls are supposed to play.”
