When people think of New York City, they think of the big lights, the fashion, and the reigning WNBA champions, the Liberty. Now, add Isabelle Harrison to that list.
The it girl, Izzy, is headed to the Big Apple. She signed with the reigning champions, the New York Liberty, in open free agency. Adding Harrison to the roster will add more depth to the Liberty’s post-rotation as they pursue another championship.
Playing for the Liberty is an excellent move for Harris as she enters her seventh WNBA season. She will be reunited with Head Coach Sandy Brondello, her first WNBA coach from when she was drafted as the 12th overall pick in 2015 by the Phoenix Mercury.
Harris remains a crucial force in the W. She has shown incredible resilience despite numerous challenges throughout her WNBA career. Her determination underscores her strength and makes her an invaluable asset to the Liberty.
Harris also plays in the Athletes Unlimited Sports League, where she won Defensive Player of the Year in 2022. Harris was the first player to win this award during the inaugural season of AU.
We know that Harris will shine both on and off the court. New York is the ideal city for a fashionable girl like Izzy. She can hoop and then live a glamorous city life. Harrison has made numerous appearances at shows during New York Fashion Week. She boldly makes statements and ranks among the most stylish players in the W. She’s consistently gone viral for her pregame outfits, and we predict that she will bring it even bigger this upcoming season.
