ROGERS FLASH PASS CENTRAL

QuinNae Love makes being a point guard look like a glamourous position. It’s easy to get spellbound by her no-look passes, skill, and swagger on the hardwood.

Love is a true floor general. Her ability to get her teammates involved, attack the basket, and shoot from the three makes her a special player.

She’s a consistent scorer and phenomenal passer.

Despite her flashy moves, she’s as humble as they come. When asked about her leadership on the floor Love simply stated, “That’s what I’m supposed to do.”

She led the Lady Ropers to a 59-33 win over Central Saturday. Rogers controlled the tempo of the game early on and managed to keep it that way until the third quarter.

The momentum shifted to the Lady Braves but Rogers and their relentless defense helped them go on a run and secure a 17 point lead by the end of the third quarter. The fourth quarter was over before it started. Rogers did what they needed to do in order to win on the road.

What was most impressive about Love was her ability to read the floor and creatively generate offense.

“She’s been able to get the feel for the game and what the game is bringing her. That’s part of her game that she’s been growing in,” said Rogers coach Carlin Askism.
